AM Edition: Why I want to be Mayor

BALTIMORE — Mayor Sheila Dixon fought back tears as she announced her resignation and thanked her staff for its loyalty and hard work. She acknowledged that she made poor choices and that she "disappointed" herself and her constituents.

What she didn't do was apologize or explain the actions that led to her downfall – her guilty plea on a perjury charge and her earlier conviction on a misdemeanor embezzlement charge.

Why do people only feel remorse when they're caught and never "fight back tears" before they do the stupid thing? I am not saying I'm some kind of angel I just finished stealing an album what's the difference between me an the Ex mayor? I'm not trying to get away with it, R I A A you have one day, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN BITCHES!

Dixon's resignation Wednesday ended a three-year tenure that began with promise but unraveled amid embarrassing allegations that she stole from the poor.

So basically she was helping the poor up with one hand and stealing their wallets with the other hand....wait she sounds like every politician ever.

Dixon, a 56-year-old Democrat, also gets to keep her city pension, which she would have had to forfeit with a conviction on her record.

Wait a minute she gets caught red handed and manages to avoid this not getting put on her record which is a condition for keeping a city pension AND she can run for office again (not the 2011 election) If a regular person did that there would be no way in hell that person would be able to get off so lightly. Yes the 45,000 they are making her pay would probably put the average person in the poor house BUT maybe since she has money and was convicted of stealing from people without maybe she should be giving money BACK, just a thought from a poor person
